  • What is a Volunteer Firefighter?

Volunteer firefighters are highly trained individuals who donate their time to serve the community. Although they are not full-time employees, they complete extensive training and respond to emergencies just like career firefighters.

  • How do I become a volunteer?​

  1. At least 18 years old to apply to our senior department. If you are between the ages of 14-18 you are eligible to apply to our junior department.

  2. Valid drivers license (prefered, but not required)

  3. Live within the Long Lake Fire Protection District

  • Is LLVFD staffed 24/7?  

The Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department is made up of dedicated volunteer fireman who respond from home, work, or wherever they are when dispatched we provide coverage to our district 24 hours a day, 365 days per year.
